Crafted by the renowned tuner Carlo Abarth, the Fiat Abarth 695 SS debuted in 1964. Based upon the famous Fiat 500, its engine was enlarged to 689cc and with tuning of the carburetors and more it offered an extra 38hp. Fitted with wide tread suspension, the nimble and sporty 695 SS performed impressively on both city streets and racing circuits; in the 1960s it was a common sight in touring car races, taking numerous victories in sub-700cc classes.
